Madfrog's Peyton Smith Wins Gold with U.S. Girls U17 National Team
Madfrog Volleyball is proud to congratulate Peyton Smith on winning a gold medal with the U.S. Girls U17 National Team at the 2026 FIVB Girls U17 World Championship in Santiago, Chile.
The U.S. capped off a perfect tournament run, going 9-0 and winning every single set — 27 in total — without dropping one to any opponent. In the gold medal match, Team USA swept Türkiye 3-0 (25-23, 25-11, 25-23) to claim the title. It marked the first time a U.S. Girls U17 team has ever competed in this event, making the undefeated championship run a historic achievement for American volleyball.
Smith, an outside hitter from Arlington, Texas and a Duncanville High School athlete, helped anchor a roster that outscored opponents by wide margins throughout the tournament, including a dominant 45-24 kill advantage in the championship match alone.
Congratulations, Peyton — Madfrog Volleyball couldn't be prouder to call you one of our own. Your hard work, dedication, and talent have made a lasting mark on the international stage, and we can't wait to see what's next.
